This has always been the best online DIY for the G35 coupe. 350Z and sedan owners will have basically the same procedure, just different wire colors/locations.

I have a 2003 G35 Coupe and these instructions were perfect! The photographs and step-by-step instructions were very helpful. That said, I did deviate slightly as per recommendations of others: I unhooked the cables from the door knob; I soldered all connections; I did not route the lock actuator (blue) wire through the speaker opening in order to to tie in to the purple wire that is located in the harness inside the door itself. I went in to the door through one of the existing holes after wrapping it with a lot of tape to protect it from chaffing as I was afraid that the wire would be pinched between the speaker and the door as well as any excess wire perhaps interfering with the speaker cone. If I were to do it again I'd route the blue wire through the rubber grommet the harness already goes through as the wire is long enough to route it that way... Great mod KP! :D
